Basantapur Durbar square , This Durbar square means (Palace courtyard) where the king of Kathmandu once lived .its also one of world Heritage sites ,clustered around Durbar Square are the old Royal Palace which has been converted into a well-equipped museum ,There are many other beautiful, shrines, Kumari House of living Goddess ,kastamandap  which was constructed out of a single Sal tree ,this Kastamandap was build with out using neither nails nor rivets holding it together ,there are many small temple and statue of  god and goddess  ,

Patan is one of the oldest city among the three cities of Kathmandu valley ,it is the oldest Buddhist city in the world ,The city is situated on a plateau across Bagmati river , another name of patan is lalitpur .The city surrounded by four stupas as four corners of patan .The square is full of ancient places ,temple ,and shrines noted for there exquisite carvings .There are three main courtyards or chowks ,so named central mul chowk,sundari chowk and Keshav narayan  chowk in the square the sundari chowk holds in its centre a masterpiece of stone architecture, the royal bath called Tushahity  , In the Patan area there are major attraction place to visit , which is patan meusum,Golden window ,Mahaboudha temple ,Golden temple ,kirshna Temple etc.

Bhaktapur   Durbar ( Royal) square was added to the listed of WORLD HERITAGE  sites by UNESCO in 1979,The durbar square is  much Larger and more spacious than Kathmandu and much less crowded with temple than patan ,Bhaktapur was the capital city of the Greater malla kingdom until the 15^th century and was an independent kingdom from then until the 18^th century .The last three malla rulers of Bhaktapur were jitamitra malla,Bupatindra malla, and ranjit malla these ruler played roles in building the palaces and temple of durbar square ,Bhaktapur is filled with Hindu and Buddhist religious sites and art. Although the population is primarily Hindu .there are nineteen Buddhist Monasteries ( Vihars) ,At indra varna Madavihar ,built in 1671 and located between durbar square and Dattatraya square ,visitors can see two lion Statues , a patinga Hiti ( water spout) Tantric wood-carved window ,and prayer wheels.in the Bhaktapur area there are major attraction place to visit ,which is Durbar square,Taumadhi square,Dattatreya square etc,

PASHUPATINATH ,Pashupatinath temple is also WORLD HERITAGE SITES OF UNESCO ,Its  one of the most important Hindu temple of Nepal ,standing on the banks of the holy bagmati river ,various religious take place here almost everyday sadhus ( holyman) from many different countries espacialy from india ,pashupathinath is the most important temple dedicated to Got Shiva .everyday year this temple attracts hundreds of elderly flowers of Hinduuism ,they arrive here to to find shelter for the last several weeks of their lives, to meet death ,be ceamated on the banks of the river and travel their last journey with the water of the sacred river bagmathi ,which later meets the holy river Ganga ,

Soyambunath ,soyambunath temple which is known as the monky temple ,it is one of the vital tourist attration in Kathmandu also WORLD HERITAGE SITES OF UNESCO,The soyambunath temple is perched on top of hill west of Kathmandu ,from there splendid views of the Kathmandu city the soyambhunath temple got name ( monkey ) temple due to a large presence of resident sacred monkeys all over the temple ,soyambhunath temple is also one of the Kathmandu oldest and most holy temple ,This temple is Buddhist and Hindus are also frequent visitor to the holy shrine  ,around the soyambhunath temple has a Tibetan name which refers to sublime trees because of the abundance of an assortment of trees on the hill ,this temple also one of the oldest and holy temple .
