Spring (March to May)
Widely regarded as one of the best times to trek in Nepal, spring offers mild temperatures, stable weather, and vibrant landscapes. Rhododendrons and wildflowers bloom across the hills, making treks like Annapurna, Everest Base Camp, and Langtang especially scenic.
Autumn (September to November)
The most popular trekking season in Nepal. Post-monsoon clarity brings spectacular mountain views and stable weather. This is the peak period for trekking routes such as Everest, Annapurna Circuit, and Manaslu.
Winter (December to February)
While higher-altitude treks may be snow-covered and challenging, winter is an excellent time for lower-elevation treks like Ghorepani Poon Hill or Helambu. The trails are quieter, and skies remain mostly clear.
Monsoon (June to August)
Heavy rains make most trails muddy and slippery, and leeches are common. However, rain-shadow regions like Upper Mustang and Dolpo remain accessible and offer dramatic arid landscapes.
Spring (March to May)
The prime season for climbing trekking peaks such as Island Peak, Mera Peak, and Lobuche East. Conditions are stable, and views are exceptional.
Autumn (September to November)
Also favorable for climbing, with cool temperatures, clear skies, and excellent summit conditions. This season is ideal for both beginners and experienced climbers.
Spring (Late March to May)
Spring is the preferred season for high-altitude expeditions, including Mount Everest. Snow conditions and jet stream patterns are more predictable, offering a safer and more successful summit window.
Autumn (September to early November)
While less common than spring, autumn offers good conditions for certain expeditions like Manaslu. The trails are less crowded, and visibility remains excellent.
Autumn (September to November)
Ideal for cultural tours, city explorations, and heritage visits. Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini are at their best with crisp air and minimal rain.
Spring (March to May)
Perfect for jungle safaris in Chitwan and Bardia, as well as scenic drives and panoramic views of the countryside.
Winter (December to February)
Cool and dry weather makes it suitable for short city tours and photography trips. Enjoy fewer crowds and clear views of the Himalayas.
