Overview

This is the most challenging trek that leads us to cross Kongma La Pass (5535m), Cho La Pass (5420m), and Renjo La Pass (5446m) in the Everest Region. The route connects Kalapatthar to enjoy the spectacular mountain views and further up to Gokyo Lake to explore the valley and climb Gokyo Ri.

During the trek we can see the Yaks and Yak herders in the grazing pastures and pass through a trading route used by Yak caravans from Tibet to Thame. After Thame we walk down to Namche Bazaar and from here we follow the same route to Lukla and then fly back to Kathmandu. In a whole this trek provides us thrill of adventure and widens our experience in the most wilderness area of the Everest region in Nepal.

You can expect some queues during peak Tourist season. If you wish to skip those queues, you can also consider getting Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed abroad prior to your arrival. Choice is yours.

Visas obtained on Arrival at the Entry and Exit points are 'Tourist Visas'.  They bear multiple Re entry facility. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for the purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country.  However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from Department of Immigration by producing required documents.
