Overview

Most of the summits lie in the heart in mountain peoples of Sherpa World. We follow the classic Everest approach through the Solu Khumbu. Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar is veering off the trail to Everest base camp. We will enter the magnificent Gokyo valley, a land of high altitude lakes and icy glaciers, after crossing Chhukuma La at 6183m.
Mount Imja Tse is trekking peak at a height of 6190 meter is very popular known as by the name of Island peak. The peak named Island peak by Eric Ship ton’s party in 1953, as the peak resembles an Island in a seas of Ice when viewed from Dingboche village. After in 1983 the peak was re-named as Imja Tse. The Island peak was first ascended in 1953 by a British team as preparation for climb Everest. Mr. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa was one of the team members who were successfully.

Island peak is part of the south ridge of mount Lhotse and Lhotse shar & mail forms a semicircle of cliffs that rise to the north of summit of Mount Nuptse, Lhotse shar & Makalu lie to the east of the Island peak & mount Baruntse & Ama Dablam. We attempt the summit 6160meters after one night at the high camp perched on the South West Ridge. Magnificent vistas of the Khumbu can be seen. On the way of it while descending to base came, you can take the picture of Chhukung valleys’ landscape Island Peak is very easy and common so most of visitor from the world are willing to go there. We can vistas of Himalayas of Mount Everest 8848m, Mount Makalu 8463m. Mount Lhotse 8516m. (Over 8,000m) and many other mountains, the journey came to end at Lukla airstrip then we fly back to Kathmandu.

Essential Information

Visa Information

Immigration Offices, under Department of Immigration have been facilitating tourists flying to Nepal by providing Visa on Arrival. 'On Arrival' visa procedure is very quick and simple. You can expect some queues during peak Tourist season. If you wish to skip those queues, you can also consider getting Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed abroad prior to your arrival. Choice is yours.

 If you have obtained visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions, then you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter into Nepal.

Visas obtained on Arrival at the Entry and Exit points are 'Tourist Visas'.  They bear multiple Re entry facility. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for the purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country.  However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from Department of Immigration by producing required documents.

Useful Tips:

A travel insurance policy that covers medical treatment is recommended for all tourists.
Similarly, we recommend you to make sure that the insurance covers activities such as trekking, hiking, adventure activities, rafting etc. that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal
Getting special vaccinations is not necessary when visiting Nepal.
We still recommend that you consult with your physician regarding special immunizing against any tropical disease.
It may be a good idea to get a complete checkup before departure.
We recommend that you undertake training programs to be physically fit if you plan to go high-altitude trekking or mountaineering when you’re visiting Nepal.
Please read up on altitude sickness (AMS) , diarrhea, Giardia, Dysentery, Cholera, Hepatitis, Rabies, Typhoid, Tetanus, Meningitis, Diphtheria, Malaria and HIV/ AIDS. Information and little precautions can often save lives.
Always make sure that your water is clean by opting for boiled and then cooled water, treated water or sealed water from a brand.
Always carry a bottle of water when trekking or venturing off away from the city/ town.
Please do not swim in lakes and water bodies, especially where depth and vegetation are not known.
Always carry and use mosquito repellant when in Terai region or during the summer.
Please have a handy medical first aid kit ready for any situation.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu in International Airport meet and greet with flower garland and transport to Hotel, Kathmandu and evening trip briefing with Welcome dinner.
  • Day 02: sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley Bouddhanath Patan Durbar Square Swoyambunath with city guide
  • Day 03: PHAKDING (2610M.) Kathmandu – to –Lukla by flight 30 minute and you will have nice warm Breakfast time about 1 hour in Lukla and trekking starts with your guide.
    Descend to Chaurikharka valley about ½ hours from Lukla and straight/flat continue through the Chomlo, Tharokoshi, Ghat zigzag up and down with right side Kushumkhang and opposite Kongde Ridge and Left side DudhKoshi valley river view. It is first day very nice Journey and on the way lunch break in Ghat about 1 and ½ hours and to get to Phakding is 1 and ½ hours walk after lunch and in Phakding we are going to stay in very nice Lodge with DudhKoshi River view.
  • Day 04: NAMCHE BAZAR (3440M.) The trial crosses and re-crosses the Dudhkoshi through the villages of Benkyar, monjo, and Jorshalle then climbs steeply 600m. To the market town of Namche Enjoy market there.
  • Day 05: REST DAY for acclimatize and sightseeing around there. Our sightseeing Namche bazaar and about ½ hour walk up hill to Sagarmatha national park museum on the hill, inside the house and outside this is one of the viewing point for Khumbu valley and Mt.Everest, Lohtse, Nuptse, Thamsherku, Kusumkhang, Khangteka, Amadablem, Iceland peak, Touché, Cholache and backside Kongde RI, Tenggiritau, Nup lho shar, Pacharmo, Tengi Ragitau, Langmocheri, seeing very nice panoramic view and Sagarmatha national park museum and back to Hotel.
  • Day 06: TENGBOUCHE (3800m): About 5 and ½ hours walk up hill about 15 minutes and straight/flat way this is a best view point of north side and East side and east side is Dudhkoshi river valley, and 2 hours to get the place of Sanasha which is the Junction way to Khumjung and Gokyo valley and Tengbouche it is also a good view point of all round mountains from here the way is decently about 1 hour and cross the Dudhkoshi suspension bridge and Lunch break will be here and uphill 2 hours to get Tengbouche.
  • Day 07: PHERICHE (4200m): About 6 hours walk In the morning before your breakfast you will see very nice round view even from inside of your room but much better is going outside for seeing round the best view MT. Everest and Lohtse and Nuptse and also you can join the biggest monastery in Solukhumbu region which is in the Tengbouche you can join in the prayer in the monastery in the morning gathering together with many Lamas and monks. After you will enjoy view and praying monastery back to hotel and after breakfast you will start the trek. The trek this day from here gently descent with Jungle view and then Dudhkoshi river before the Pangbouche will cross the bridge which is very interesting to cross because it’s very narrow and deep. After bridge gently up to get first Pangbouche village and zigzag flat. We will have lunch in Somare and after lunch gently up and Pheriche pass which are 4400m and 15 minutes downhill cross again the bridge and 15 minutes flat to get Pheriche. Here in Pheriche is Himalayan sickness hospital also if you will feel altitude sickness then you can go to hospital after you reach there and the doctor will check up your health and also they will advice you better to go continue or rest or go back etc. and overnight here in Lodge.
  • Day 08: Rest day/ Hiking to around 5000m .for the view of surrounding peaks including Mt Makalu,Cho-Oyu ,Lhotse
  • Day 09: Trek to Chhukung (4730m.) 4 hours trek. Overnight in good lodge.
  • Day 10: Trek to Base camp: The way from CHHUKUNG to base camp is very easy, about 1 hour we have to walk on the glacier and then zigzag and rocky, we can take yaks until the base camp. 3 and 1/2 hours walk and camp in the base camp. Base camp is little windy so we have to choose the place in the corner side for setting the camp in the base camp. In October season water is mostly available there in the base camp. There are also little grasses on some parts of the base camp.
  • Day 11: Extra day for the incase bad weather
  • Day 12: Summit to Islandpeak (6189m) and Trek to Dingbouche (4410m). 5 hours walk. Back down the moraines and slowly losing altitude, reach Chukkung and slightly down with the Chukkung river view with nice valley view, easy way to get the prosperous village of Dingboche.
  • Day 14: Trek to TENGBUCHE (3900m) 5 and 1/2 hours walk.Easy walk down the imja khola to Pangboche then a short climb to this famous monastery.
  • Day 15: Trek to NAMCHE (3440m.) 5 hours walk Down the Dudh Koshi, Phunggu Thyangga and a climb up to the Shanasha from here slide down to the Namche bazaar have look market from early morning to until 2 and 1/12 afternoon. If we will be on Saturday because only here is the weekly Saturday market, In this market all those things for selling is brought from low far down villages 5 to 7 days they carry continue up to here for selling.
  • Day 16: LUKLA (2800m.) 7 hours walk Continue down the Dudh Koshi to the mountain airstrip, In Lukla overnight in nice Lodge.
  • Day 17: KATHMANDU 30 minutes flight to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.
  • Day 18: Free day, overnight hotel
  • Day 19: Departure Transfer to International Airport.
