Pokhara Jomsom Muktinath Trek Itinerary
Day 01: Arrivel in Kathmandu Pick up at Tribhuvan International Airport by our High valley Treks staff and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu. Briefing about Pokhara Jomsom trip plan, Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sight seen Kathmandu valley, Today our highvalley treks staff and German& English speaking tour guide take to visit the famous places of Kathmandu valley that includes Bhaktapur ,patan , Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. After sighseen our campany will invite well come dinner at Nepali restaurant with culture dance show . Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Early in the morning we Drive from Kathmandu to Nayapool (1070m) Via Pokhara. Trek to Birethanti (1080m). Early in the morning the trip takes about 6-8 hours for the 235km from Kathmandu and short trek for the day till Birethanti of 30-45 minutes walk. Overnight at Lodge
Day 04: Birethanti to tirkedunga (1750m).The trail follows the main street of Birethanty then on through bamboo forests and past a waterfall and . We follow the Bhurundi Khola on the north bank until we reach Baajgara next is Sudami then up through a valley. To Thikedung overnight at Lodge
Day 05: Thikedung to Ghorepani (2874m).
Today we climb a steep staircase from Thikhedung as we climb the tops of Annapurna South 7273 metres and Himchuli begin to emerge from behind the hills. We then enter thick forests as we climb to Banthanti a settlement of tea houses in a forest clearing 2250 metres up. From Banthanti we trek for another two hours to reach Gorepani.overnight at Lodge
Day 06: Ghorepani Poon Hill to Tatopani (1190m).
We start early in the morning for a short excursion to Poon Hill of 3193 meters. It is about one hours climb. From this vantage point you can see a spectacular panorama of Dhauagiri (8,167m), Tuckche (6,920m), Nilgiri (6,839m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441m) and Glacier Dome (7,202m)Machhapuchare(6997m) ,manasaslu (8163m) after viewing this high Himalaya we back to Ghorepani. After breakfast we walk down to Tatopani via shika camp at Tatopani and we can bathe in the hot springs.overnight at Lodge
Day 07 trek from Tatopani to Ghasa ( 2000m)
We have to follow the trail that ascends gently up the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world, towards the village of Dana, which is surrounded by orange groves. En route, you come across local people selling baskets of oranges. Just beyond the small hamlet of Rupse, a thundering waterfall cascades down beside the trail. Thereafter, the trail enters the steepest and narrowest section of the gorge. You will find the layered stone path well-constructed and wide. As the rock cliff ends, you head towards Ghasa, a quaint Thakali village. You can see several flat-roofed Tibetan style houses in Ghasa. [Walk approx 5-6 hours] .
Day 08: Trek to Larjung [2560m]
After breakfast you trek from Ghasa towards Larjung. Few hours of descents soon follow other rock-strewn ascents through forests of fir, cypress and juniper along the riverbank of Kali Gandaki. As soon as you reach Larjung, you cannot help but marvel at the architectural grandeur of this small town; tunnels, narrow alleyways and houses built in traditional style presents an interesting sight
Day 09 Trek to Jomsom [2713m]
You begin to trek along the trail that follows the wide valley of the Kali Gandaki, passing through Khobang and Tukuche. Yet again, you get to see narrow alleyways and houses built around enclosed courtyards as a protection against the unpredictable wind of the Kali Gandaki gorge. The trail further meanders through stonewalled orchards. Soon you will come across a stone gate that marks the entrance to Marpha. You can spot several white-walled houses. Marpha has well-maintained drainage system and is most popular for its local apple brandy. After a lunch in Marpha, you continue trekking towards Jomsom. As you approach your destination Jomsom, the landscape becomes increasingly arid and impressive with its mixture of browns, yellows and greys contrasting with the white snowcapped peaks of Tilicho and Nilgiri
Day 10: Trek to Muktinath [3710m]
After breakfast you resume your trekking along the path up to the vast gravel riverbed of the Kali Gandaki. You come across a stream and verdant vegetation. On crossing a small ridge to Chhancha Lhumba at 2730 meters, you continue heading towards Muktinath. Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri dominates the view as you ascend to Khingar (3200 meters). More meadows, streams and lush vegetation can be seen along the trail as it paves to Jharkot (3500 meters). You encounter the ruins of the Dzong and pristine villages of Purang and Changur. As you trek past mule stables and steep barren hillside, you enter Ranipauwa. Ranipauwa for years has remained an ideal resting point for pilgrims and travelers. On trekking further, you enter Muktinath. Temples and religious shrines are the major attractions of this holy place. Pilgrims flock to the Buddhist gompa and pagoda-style temple of Lord Vishnu . Muktinath is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. .
Day 11Trek to Jomsom [2713m]
Heading away from Muktinath, you retrace your steps to Jomsom taking on the magnificent view of Nilgiri. You stay overnight in Jomsom. In the evening you celebrate the completion of your trek with the crew, over night at Lodge
Day 12: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara
Early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. ,arrival in pokhara transfer to Hotel and refreshing after that we have to sight seen Pokhara Valley overnight at hotel, pokhara
Day 13: Flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Arrivel in the domestic airport and pickup our staff and trsnfer to hotel in Kathmandu . After refreshing souvenir shopping, sightseeing or other personal activities until your departure.
Day 14: Departure to Destination From Kathmandu -Our High valley treks staff will be pick up from hotel to International Airport Departure.
