Mr. Ngawang Pasang Sherpa is a highly experienced in Nepal’s trekking and mountaineering industry, with over 25 years of experience in the field. Starting his journey as a kitchen boy at a young age, Ngawang gradually rose through the ranks, working as a cook and guide before becoming the Managing Director of High Valley Treks and Expeditions. His long and dedicated career has provided him with an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and expertise, enabling him to lead the company to become one of the most reputable service providers in the country under his exemplary management.
Ngawang has been part of several high-profile expeditions, including the Annapurna I Expedition and Manaslu Expedition with a Japanese team in 1994, as well as Everest, Ama Dablam, and Choyu (from the Tibet side). He has also successfully climbed numerous high-altitude peaks across Nepal, gaining immense mountaineering experience along the way. To further enhance his skills, he participated in Alpine Training in Austria, focusing on mountain rescue, ice climbing techniques, and the preservation of natural environments in 2002, certified by authorized Austrian mountain guides.
In addition to his extensive field experience, Ngawang has traveled to Austria, Germany, Tibet, and India, broadening his international perspective. His diverse background and commitment to sustainable tourism and mountaineering continue to inspire others in the trekking and climbing community.
