Peekye Dada (4,065m) is one of the tallest hills of Solu (Everest Region) . The name Peekye is derived from the name of the Sherpa Clan deity. We can view the beautiful mountains such as Sagarmatha (Everest), Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Gaurishanker, Lhotse, Numbur, Khatanga, Karyolung, Shishapangma, Mera Peak, Thamserku, Lhotseshar, Nuptse and even Ama Dablam. From Peekye. It also offers a breathtaking sunrise and sunset views during good weather.
The local people hold celebrations to worship their clan god, the eastern Chyabo Peekye, as Peekye Hlapchen Karbu during the month of July. Apart from trekking at Peekye, we can undertake various tourism activities such as paragliding, mountain biking, bird watching, pilgrimage and meditation. There are various options for the trail to be taken to Peekye. A trail through Jiri – Chaulakharka – Ngaur leads to the Peekye Danda. Similarly, there is another trail which starts from Phaplu passing through Kerung, Pattale, Jhapre, Peekye peak, Lamajura, Junbesi and ends at Salleri.
From Peekye, one can continue on to the Dudhkunda or there are other alternatives entries like Rumjatar and Jiri to Peekye Cultural Trail. If we take Dudhkunda Cultural Trail via. Takshindu after reaching Peekye, one has the opportunity to observe the beautiful settlements and landscapes. The trail passes through Junbesi, Phaplu, Takshindu, Beni, Dudhkunda, and Thaksindu and back to Salleri. Junbesi is one of the beautiful Sherpa villages of the trail. We have also an opportunity of visit the famous Thuptenchholing Monastery along the trail.

Visa Information
Immigration Offices, under Department of Immigration have been facilitating tourists flying to Nepal by providing Visa on Arrival. 'On Arrival' visa procedure is very quick and simple. You can expect some queues during peak Tourist season. If you wish to skip those queues, you can also consider getting Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed abroad prior to your arrival. Choice is yours.
If you have obtained visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions, then you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter into Nepal.
Visas obtained on Arrival at the Entry and Exit points are 'Tourist Visas'. They bear multiple Re entry facility. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for the purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get ' Tourist Visa' to get into the country. However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from Department of Immigration by producing required documents.
